At a business forum in Rio de Janeiro, Daniella Marques said a future Flávio Bolsonaro administration would pursue a fiscal adjustment by reducing public expenditures, though she did not specify the scale or timeline of the proposed cuts. She emphasized that the goal is to stabilize and eventually lower the national debt through primary surpluses, limited subsidized credit, and tighter control of discretionary spending across the three branches of government.

Team of Specialists

Marques announced the addition of six PhD-holding economists to her advisory group, expanding the influence of former members of Paulo Guedes's economic team from the Jair Bolsonaro presidency (2019-2022). The newly named experts are Alexandre Messa (Ipea researcher and former productivity secretary), Alexandre Ywata (engineer and statistician who held infrastructure and competitiveness posts at the Economy Ministry), Andrei Spacov (financial-market economist with a UC Berkeley doctorate), Arilton Teixeira (academic and founder of Fucape Business School), Eduardo Cavendish Carvalho (financial-sector specialist in macro analysis and capital markets), and Myrian Prado (economist who worked on privatization and infrastructure at the Economy Ministry). The group also includes Vladimir Kühl Teles, an FGV-SP professor with experience in economic policy under the previous Bolsonaro administration.

Position on Labor Reform

Marques reiterated the candidate's opposition to a constitutional proposal that would reduce the weekly workweek from 44 to 40 hours and eliminate the 6x1 shift pattern (six consecutive workdays followed by one day off). She described the initiative as "populist" and argued that it would raise labor costs without benefiting families, advocating instead for free negotiation between workers and employers over working hours.

The PL party, to which Flávio Bolsonaro belongs, has already presented the broad outlines of its government plan, which includes replacing the current fiscal framework with new rules aimed at debt stabilization and reduction.
