The first-round presidential tally in Brazil sent Senator Flávio Bolsonaro and President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to the October 25 runoff. The CNN final results page, based on TSE data, marks 100% of ballot boxes counted and gives Flávio 47.03% of valid votes and Lula 45.16%. The TSE 2026 results dataset records final voting by candidate and polling section; Poder360 reported the same vote shares and rounded totals of 56.10 million for Flávio and 53.88 million for Lula.
The final count left Flávio ahead by about 2.23 million votes, or 1.87 percentage points. Neither candidate won a majority of valid votes, so a second round was scheduled for October 25. The first-round result establishes which two candidates advanced; it does not show how voters who chose other candidates or abstained will vote in the runoff.
