Martin De Luca, the lawyer representing Trump Media and the video platform Rumble in a Florida lawsuit against Brazilian Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Alexandre de Moraes, called new revelations involving the justice and Banco Master banker Daniel Vorcaro “incredible” on Tuesday, September 1.
De Luca made the comment on X while sharing a post by American journalist Glenn Greenwald about a BRL 131.2 million legal contract—roughly USD 23 million at recent exchange rates—between Banco Master and the law firm of Viviane Barci de Moraes, Moraes’s wife.
“Incredible,” De Luca wrote.
Greenwald questioned whether the contract’s value reflected only Viviane Barci de Moraes’s legal services. The law firm was hired to represent Banco Master whenever requested, according to the report.
Contract Under Scrutiny
The reaction followed disclosures that Moraes allegedly opened and edited a version of the contract between Banco Master and his wife’s firm. Metadata from a document extracted from Vorcaro’s cellphone reportedly attributes an edit to the justice. Viviane’s office confirmed that Moraes had access to the file and made changes to the document.
The information emerged from material gathered by Brazil’s Federal Police during Operation Compliance Zero, an investigation involving Banco Master. On Tuesday, STF Justice André Mendonça lifted the confidentiality order covering records related to the relationship between Vorcaro and Moraes.
The material includes messages, meeting records and documents connected to Viviane’s law firm. According to the report, some messages indicate that Vorcaro consulted Moraes about whether he could leave Brazil before his arrest. Other records suggest that a contact saved as “Alexandre de Moraes BRASÍLIA” received information related to the investigation into Banco Master.
The disclosed messages also allegedly show that Vorcaro authorized credit cards with a BRL 300,000 limit for each of Moraes’s two children.
